Ladywell station is about 350 metres west along Ladywell Road, a five minute walk. Bus stops are on the High Street immediately outside the church, on Wearside Road to the north, and by the fire station to the north-east. Lewisham station and the DLR are about 1.3 kilometres north.A dotted line marks the walk between Ladywell station and the church. It leaves the station, joins Ladywell Road and follows it east for about a hundred and fifty metres, then turns south-east into the northern end of Ladywell Fields and runs down through the park for roughly another hundred and ten, coming out beside the churchyard. It is the shortest way as well as the greenest.     National Rail — Southeastern

    Come out of the station up to Ladywell Road and turn right, away from Ladywell. Follow it for about 250 metres with the hospital on your right; the churchyard gate is on the right-hand side, just before the High Street.

  • Lewisham

    16 minutes, about 1.3 km

    National Rail and DLR

    Head south from the station and keep going down Molesworth Street and Lewisham High Street, past the shopping centre and the clock tower. The church is on your right in its churchyard, a little past the Ladywell Road junction. Almost any bus down the High Street saves most of the walk.

  • Hither Green

    17 minutes, about 1.4 km

    National Rail — Southeastern

    Nightingale Grove and Courthill Road, then Campshill Road and Romborough Way, which brings you out on the High Street opposite the church.

People often head for Lewisham because it is the name they know. Ladywell is far closer — five minutes rather than a quarter of an hour.

By bus

A great many buses pass the door. These are the nearest stops and what calls at each.

Routes were correct in August 2026. For live times, check TfL or your usual app — we would rather send you somewhere accurate than keep a timetable on a church website.

Getting in, and getting around

The crypt room, which is where most weekday groups meet, has its own entrance at street level and an accessible WC. If you need step-free access to the church itself, or there is something specific you would like to know before you come, ring 020 4630 7051 and we will make sure somebody meets you.

The churchyard is open to anybody who wants to sit in it, and the paths were renewed recently so they are smooth and even.

Parking and bicycles

There is no car park at the church. The best street to try is Lewisham Park, two minutes’ walk away.

Free on Sundays, and every evening

Lewisham Park is in controlled parking zone L (Rushey Green East), which charges Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm, with a maximum stay of 4 hours.

Evenings, Saturdays and Sundays are free — so there is nothing to pay for anything on a Sunday, or for a weekday evening concert or rehearsal.

Paying, in the hours when you have to

Lewisham is cashless on the street. Pay in the PayByPhone app using location code 803773, which is the code for this zone — the number is on the sign too. Cash can be paid at local shops offering PayPoint.

What it costs depends on your car — Lewisham charges by emissions band, so the app will tell you when you put the registration in.

Those hours are for Lewisham Park itself. The streets nearer the town centre are in different zones and some of them do charge at weekends, so if you end up somewhere else, read the sign before you walk away. Some bays are for permit holders only rather than pay-to-park.

If you are coming to a funeral or a wedding and parking is a worry, ring us and we will help.

Please do not use the hospital car park. Lewisham Hospital is next door and its parking is for patients and visitors, who need it.

There are cycle stands nearby on the High Street, and bicycles can be brought into the churchyard.
